Primary Cultures of Renal Proximal Tubules: A New In Vitro Model for Assessing Drug and Chemical Induced Nephrotoxicity

Kostyniak and his associates will use cultures of rabbit kidney tubules to study the cellular effects of the drug acetaminophen and the industrial chemical mercuric chloride. The investigators will study the chemicals' impact on a wide range of biochemical, physiological and structural properties of the cells.
