The Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing is an academic center affiliated with the Division of Toxicological Sciences in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences of the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health.
CAAT staff devote their efforts to three critical activities: providing funding for new research, disseminating information about alternative methods, and creating a forum for industry, regulatory agencies, and the animal welfare community to work together for progress. Through our Research Grants Program, Information Program, and workshops we strive to advance the use of more humane science in basic biomedical research, product safety testing, and education.
