Unlike any newsletter in the history of CAAT, this one does not focus on alternatives to animal testing. It focuses on alternatives to the printing press. You may be wondering why this newsletter looks and feels different from any issue you have held in the past. The answer is simple: the entire goal of this newsletter is to acquaint you with a fundamental change in the way CAAT will communicate with you -- and the rest of the world -- in the next decade. It's called Altweb, the Alternatives to Animal Testing Web Site. This is the last issue of the CAAT newsletter that will be printed in its entirety. Future issues will appear on Altweb. This will be the last printed issue of the CAAT Newsletter. In the future, news about CAAT will be available on Altweb, our new site on the World Wide Web, at http://altweb.jhsph.edu. For those of you who do not have a computer, are not comfortable with traveling the information superhighway, or just prefer to get your news from the printed page, don't despair. CAAT will provide printouts of news and information from our Web site (including regular features of the Newsletter like Director's Diary, Meetings, or Grants and Prizes) through a subscription service. Please see the insert for details. Table of Contents |
